Jeff Riopelle joined Nordkap as Senior Vice President in 2008 after 20 years in New York, Frankfurt, London, and Zurich arranging project finance loans for SBC, Deutsche Bank, UBS, ABB and GE. He holds a B.A. from University of Michigan, an M.A. from University of Michigan, and an M.B.A. from Columbia University   Stefan Gerig joined Nordkap as its Chief Investment Officer in 2004 after 20 years in Houston, London, New York and Zurich arranging project finance loans for SBC, UBS, ABB and GE. He is a graduate of the University of St. Gallen.


Our advisory work, which is primarily focused on power and, especially, alternative energy resources and generation, consists of assisting clients to develop corporate and project structures that are suitable for project financing, to negotiate project documents that meet the requirements of project finance and to secure appropriate services from other consultants. We also can assist you to structure your project to be attractive to equity investors, and leverage our relationships to help bring you an attractive equity proposal.

We have, over the course of our careers, advised on a wide variety of transactions around the world. Putting our experience together, we have accompanied to financial closing numerous power plants, utilizing various fuel types and generation technologies, several toll roads, significant volumes of ethanol production, as well as biodiesel production.  Additionally, our power generation experience has also extended to renewable energy, including wind, solar and geothermal projects.

With our specific set-up, we focus on smaller projects, usually up to USD 50 million. Because of our cost structure, we can offer competitive fees.
